Because Beowulf: An Epic Enigma builds on generations of medieval scholarship, 10% of all profits from this project will be donated annually to support the field of early medieval studies.
Medieval Futures reflects a core value of the work itself: that creative and scholarly endeavors are acts of reciprocity. Just as the mead-hall thrived on the exchange of gifts, this project seeks to give back to the community that has kept Beowulf alive through centuries of study, teaching, and performance.
Each year, Medieval Futures will select a different recipient organization whose work advances medieval learning, research, or performance.
2026 Recipient
